Science and History

U.S. Space and Rocket Center - Exploring NASA's innovations - see moon rocks, explore the cosmos and science through numerous exhibits, and see the rocket that took us to the moon in Saturn V Hall!

Early Works Children's Museum is designed for children to have hands on learning experiences. 

Twickenham Historic District - This is Alabama's largest historic district as it contains the most dense concentration of Federal, Italianate, and classical antebellum architecture. Include in your walk Alabama Constitution Village, the 1819 Weeden House Museum, and Harrison Brothers Hardware (the best place to purchase uniquely Huntsville items).



The Huntsville Museum of Art is nationally accredited and fills thirteen galleries with a variety of high caliber exhibitions with work from nationally and regionally and regionally acclaimed artists.

Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment is America's largest independent center for the arts. It includes the studios of 120 working artists, small businesses, restaurants, and live performance venues.



The Huntsville Botanical Garden includes 112 acres of beautiful gardens and walking paths.

Burritt on the Mountain preserves the culture, land and structures of the 1800's and offers some of the best mountain views of Huntsville and surrounding counties. 

Monte Sano State Park sits atop its mountain within 2,140 acres of native woods. There are 20 miles of hiking trails and 14 miles of biking trails that include spectacular vistas.
